Idahomie

I'm headed to visit my dad's side of the family in Idaho this weekend, so this post is appropriately-timed. I found the shirt I'm wearing at Nordstrom when Raz and I were visiting his parents for Thanksgiving and had to have it. I'm definitely that cliche who has to have most anything from my alma mater - both school and sorority - so this shirt had no chance of getting left behind. I haven't decided if I'll wear it while I'm there because I'm thinking that's kinda like wearing a Beyonce t-shirt to her concert...any guidance on that would be appreciated.

But, yeah. Going to Idaho is actually a really big deal for me. I haven't visited my family there alone. Ever. It may sound silly, but it's something you don't really think about. Every time we were all together it was with my dad. He was the glue. I've been a little nervous about it simply because it will feel so strange to be in Idaho without him. I'm not sure how emotional that will be for me, but I'm hopeful it'll be just fine. If you ever want to learn more about my dad, I write about him here.

A few other notes on the outfit:
  • I begged my mom for this white leather jacket for Christmas the year before last
  • I'm obsessed with the booties I'm wearing and rep them at least once a week
  • The jeans are the best thing that ever happened to me - perfect compromise between work appropriate and boyfriend
  • The bag is super old, but one of my going out go-tos, especially with an all black outfit
