Brand Next Door: Veer
For no truly identifiable reason, I have a mental block around double strollers. They feel a bit like the stroller equivalent of a minivan—toddler + baby transport that would make my life a lot easier, but that I just can’t see myself using. I have a particularly intense aversion to a side by side. Please don’t @ me.
However, I also have two babies I will need to bring places on my own. Our town is very walkable and I plan to be walking it often. So, what’s a bratty Nordstrom hippie to do? After happening upon a conversation in one of my Facebook mom groups from women with a similar mindset, I decided I would go Veer or go home. When my mom asked if there was one big thing I wanted to help us begin our next chapter, I told her Veer was IT. Babies are expensive and we would have purchased it ourselves, but I’ve found people often want to help, so if they ask, money toward something like this mode of transport that will be more helpful in your day to day than spending on potentially cheesy baby clothes you won’t use is a great bet.
A wagon made sense for us for a lot of reasons. We walk to a fabulous Saturday market and I have big visions of toting home babies + produce. I also wanted to be able to haul us all to the beach on my own and Veer is made for off-roading. It includes ALL SORTS of add-ons like a canopy, car seat adapter, storage basket for all my shopping, and a cool new tent Veer’s calling Basecamp that you can pop up wherever you go—it gives the babies a shady place to play, AND you can clip it to the side of the wagon both on your way and once you arrive wherever you’re going. Pretty slick. Exactly what I need for our beach adventures.
When I was considering what I wanted for us as a family of four, going off-road and being able to haul babies + things were both important considerations for me. I also was adamant that I wanted to fit on the sidewalk and through doorways. Veer was the perfect solution for our family and I’m looking forward to using it for a long long time.
