Hi!

I'm Whitney. Welcome to my little slice of the Internet, where I talk about life in Seattle and our travels beyond it. I have a handsome husbro I may have met outside of a bar, two crazy felines, and two kiddos, too. It’s a lot, so I’m not always spending as much time here as I’d like. Do you like reality TV, sampling all the products, and pickled veggies? Same!

I'm so glad  you're here.

Where To Find Toddler Bed Duvet Covers

Where To Find Toddler Bed Duvet Covers

At this point in my life, I consider myself an expert in sourcing baby and toddler things, and at great prices. In my everyday life, I am a communications consultant, and two of the clients I write for share daily deals, not only for toddlers and kids but also for everyone in the family. So, it was almost shocking when I searched high and low and could find just one option for a toddler bed-sized duvet cover.

Before I tell you where I found it, though, allow me to tell you where I couldn’t find one:

  • PB Kids (they do sell toddler bed duvets and sheets, but very few covers for those duvets—bizarre!)

  • West Elm

  • Crate & Kids

  • Amazon

  • Target

  • IKEA

  • Kohl’s

  • RH Baby

  • Etc. etc. etc.

I imagine this huge lack of options for toddler duvets has to do with demand, as well as how expensive it is to make small batches of tinier versions of things, but I’m no textiles expert, so take me with a grain. But, I do have a passion for duvet covers and was pretty shocked and frustrated, frankly, to find I couldn’t have exactly what I wanted (options) a few clicks away.

And then I remembered Brooklinen.

Years ago, Dax had told me about Brooklinen on his podcast. I’d gotten sheets from them for our bed and discovered their cute Brooklittles line. Our son went straight from his crib to a double bed, so we never did the toddler bed conversion. But, we wanted to try a toddler bed on our daughter, so she and I went to work picking out her linens.

She’d sit on my lap and point to the sheets she wanted, chattering about rainbows and colors and jungle animals, but no single place had all the things I wanted.

When we got to Brooklinen, though, they let us customize our set—a pillowcase, fitted sheet, and duvet cover.

There are about ten color and pattern options per item and our daughter had so much fun picking each one of them. You can build your set here. She is a very pink and purple-driven person, so she chose the pink duvet cover. Here’s what it looks like put together with a few other items from Pottery Barn Kids my mom got her for Christmas (we like a flat sheet under the duvet, which doesn’t come with Brooklittles set—none of them are complete. ahhhh!):

She’s in looooove with her bed, and I’m glad my search for a toddler duvet cover is over…for now.

For those of you who have your kids in toddler beds, do you have a duvet? Where did you find your cover? Maybe I’m missing all of them!

If you’re creating something similar, here are the rest of the linens on her bed. We did a little mixing and matching.

I believe that kids should be just as cozy as adults are (and that adults should use products as gentle as kids products are), so a duvet and cover for our toddler it is! If you’re like us, this is the post for you. Happy shopping!
