The Best Books I Read In 2022
For the past few years, I’ve been writing recap posts of all the books I read the year before. I’d list all the books and include a shorter list of my favorites. This year, I kept putting off writing the post and made a TikTok video recapping the most memorable or life-affirming titles instead.
After I posted that video, I realized I was putting off writing the post because I didn’t want to make the big list. And of the few people who read this post, even fewer probably care about every single book I read (51 of them). If you want that list, head to my Instagram highlights and look for the one titled “50 in 2022.” 50 was my goal. I bested it by one.
Score.
So!
Instead of making the big list, I’m going to hit you with what you really want—the short list of my top eleven books of 2022. They are in chronological order.
Without much further ado and very little care for my new knowledge of SEO, my top eleven favorite reads of 2022:
Rich As F*ck by Amanda Frances
Quit Like A Woman by Holly Whitaker
Rosie by Anne Lamott
My Body by Emily Ratajkowski
Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner
Being Mortal by Atul Gawande
The 6 Phase Meditation Method by Vishen Lakhiani
Chillpreneur by Denise Duffield-Thomas
Free Time by Jenny Blake
Outrageous Openness by Tosha Silver
The Answer Is Simple: Love Yourself, Live Your Spirit! by Sonia Choquette
As you can see, they’re pretty focused on business and spirituality. Some combine the two, and those were my fave fave favorites.
I save the books I love in an endless Idea List on Amazon. If you’re ever curious about my recs, bookmark it here. The words between all these covers spoke to me the most at my current life phase and stage. I pick all books intuitively—based on what feels like it’s calling to me from the pile or from the library. I can’t wait to see what magical books this year holds.
